The Art Institute of Chicago Modern Wing

Chicago, Illinois

The Art Institute was in the midst of Design Development activities when AVA was requested to assist in structuring the tools and systems for project management.  AVA was retained to establish project accounting systems to integrate with the current accounts payable as well as senior management reporting.  As fund raising efforts were lagging the design effort, the team was challenged to create options that would allow the project to proceed with the world-renowned architect.

Alternative solutions were developed and presented to senior management and the Board of Trustees to consider phasing the project differently, allowing the less complex (and less expensive) Gunsaulus Hall to proceed first, with the more ambitious addition to commence once adequate funds were in hand.
